Dr. Pizzo is a native of Tampa, having attended local schools, including Gorrie Elementary, Wilson Junior High and Jesuit High, where he was Salutatorian of his class.
He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was tapped for Phi Beta Kappa, scholastic honorary society.
His medical degree is from the University of Florida, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society.
Dr. Pizzo completed his surgical internship and general surgery training at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, California. His plastic surgery training was completed at the Institute of Plastic Surgery in San Francisco. Dr. Pizzo served on active duty with the United States Army and was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco.

Dr. Pizzo has been in private practice in plastic surgery in Tampa, Florida, since 1979.
His memberships include the Hillsborough County Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Tampa Bay Plastic Surgery Society, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Pizzo performs surgery at several accredited outpatient facilities in the Tampa Bay area.
